Requirement
During one of the Projects, we are working on a Dashboard that basically needs to showcase some proper representation of Data for Team managers and Leaders for our Internal Monitoring Tool. To monitor the data.
Problem
For now, we simply use a line chart for all the data Representation whether we talk about Agents' number of hours received most calls, or how many agents are online for a particular period we just restrain to just Line Chart.
REsponsibility
So, they give me the Responsibility to Research on Graph and Create a complete Graph Library that tackles most of our Use-case also with proper use of Colour Contrast that later can be used by our Global Design System team.
In our initial research, my main focus is to - on readability, the Correct way of Representation and how to make it easiely Accessible for all. The problem we received seems very exciting to me as I love to see how people change their behaviour by just seeing a Graph. Example how you chnage your mind by seeing 5 star on a product or 1 star on a product. Just an example but it directly affect your inner senses. So, it's my responsibility to fulfil that Requirement of our Team Leads, Managers, Customer and Agents. So, for this we collaborate with a Data domain expert - Paulius from our Germany team. He helps us a lot in terms of creating guidelines for Graph.
Research
As we majorly know the problem statement that is the Main problem designer feel is to - When & What type of graph to use.
Brainstorming
As Paulius is the main guy for data-domain expert I do multiple sessions with him just to know the problems users face in data visualization.
User Interview
During our Research, I along with Researcher did an initial interview with our end-user. Just to know what problems they are actually facing.
Colour Palatte
After getting a good *enough understanding of our Users. We start working on the Colour Palette in which again I and Paulius did multiple sessions to decode a good palette that helps us to form a good visualization of data.
Layout
Well, I would say it's a very important/interesting part of our process, as we are creating patterns for all so we need to think out-of-box scenarios.
Pattern
Finally, I build it, but before finalizing I take multiple round of Feedback and Suggestions with my Team as well as with Pauilius. During the whole process, I received multiple feedback to the Result we got is Remarkable for all other Teams.
